Western Outfitting
IMG_6642 copy_thumb.jpg
After business owner Melissa Thevelius took up residency in Tehachapi, she recognized the need for Western wear (in particular boots) as well as work wear in our city. With Tehachapi being a bit of a horsing community and having local industrial facilities nearby, Melissa made it her mission to meet the needs of the people of Tehachapi by outfitting its clientele.

Trader Bo’s became part of our Tehachapi business community in 2006, opening a shop on South Street. Since then, due to growth and demand, relocation of Trader Bo’s has been mandatory and they have recently settled into a new and beautiful 4,500 square foot building right on Tehachapi Boulevard. This move has proven beneficial with its additional space and added exposure to downtown.

Expanding Their Horizons
Trader Bo's also has made great efforts to expand and improve their product offerings. After several years of servicing Tehachapi and listening to the requests of those in the community, the attire is no longer completely limited to the western wear. They have expanded their initial vision and are now offering a wide variety of clothing and merchandise for men, women and children. Included in this merchandise is an extensive selection of jeans, shirts, accessories, men’s work wear, western boots and work boots.

As a proud Tehachapi business owner, Melissa encourages Tehachapi residents to continue to shop locally. She is very thankful to the citizens of Tehachapi for their patronage and support for the past six years. Their plans for the future include e-commerce and an expansion of their selection of women’s footwear.
