At an elevation of 4,001 feet, Tehachapi’s Municipal Airport is known as the corridor to northern and southern California.

Located south of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Tehachapi is an ideal spot to stop not only to fuel, but to enjoy an old-fashioned mountain town with good food and great prices.

Taxiway Relocation and Reconstruction Information

Phase I of construction was concluded in late 2022. Phase I included construction of the west end basin only. Phase II of construction is set to begin in the fall of 2023 with a focus on the west end drainage. Phase II will continue in the spring of 2024 and include all pavement and drainage on the taxiway. 

Hangar Use and Inspection Policy

The Tehachapi Municipal Airport established a hangar use and inspection policy on  March 4, 2019 per requirement from the FAA. The policy was amended on September 16, 2019.
