Tehachapi Valley

Description/History:
The Tehachapi Valley includes areas both inside and outside of the Tehachapi city limits. The area includes some of the original farmlands that were critical in the production of potatoes for the war efforts during WWII. It was the birthplace of the wind energy industry with the Tehachapi Pass, an area still adorned with wind turbines today. The Lehigh cement plant was instrumental in production of cement for the Los Angeles Aqueduct and still stands today as a major cement manufacturer in California.

Filming Environment:
Mixed shots including agriculture, wind turbines, industrial with the Lehigh cement plant and more. Filming environment includes snow capped mountains in the winter and green-tree covered hills in the spring and summer.
